By using FramingCalcs you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, wherever they are.

General information only — no professional relationship

Everything published here is general reference information for planning purposes. It is not engineering, electrical, construction or safety advice, it is not a permit or compliance document, and it is not a substitute for a licensed engineer, electrician, plumber or contractor.

Using this site does not create any professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and us. We do not know your project, your conditions, your local amendments or your equipment, and nothing here has been prepared for your particular situation.

Building, electrical, plumbing and accessibility requirements vary by jurisdiction and change between editions. Local amendments are frequently stricter than the model standards these tools reference. Your authority having jurisdiction decides what is acceptable where you are, and their decision governs over anything shown here.

Verify before you rely on anything

Results are estimates produced by software. They may contain errors, may be based on a standard or edition that does not apply to you, and may be wrong for your situation in ways the tool cannot detect.

You are responsible for verifying every result against a current code book, the manufacturer's instructions for your equipment, or a licensed professional, before ordering material, performing work, or making any decision that affects safety.

Do not use this site as the sole basis for work involving electrical systems, structural members, means of egress, or anything else where an error could cause injury, fire or collapse.

No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose, or that the site will be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FramingCalcs, its operator, and their directors, employees and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or for personal injury or property damage, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, this site — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This includes, without limitation, loss or damage arising from work performed, materials purchased, equipment specified, or decisions made on the basis of a result shown here.

Where liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to one hundred United States dollars (US$100). This site is provided free of charge and this limit reflects that.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the greatest extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FramingCalcs and its operator from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the site, your reliance on any result, or your breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

You may use these calculators freely, including for commercial work. You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, republish the calculators or their content as your own, present results as certified engineering output, or remove or obscure any disclaimer.

Changes to the site and these terms

We update calculators as standards change and as errors are found. A result may differ from what you saw previously, and earlier results are not preserved. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

We may amend these terms; the current version is always the one on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the amended terms.

Governing law and disputes

FramingCalcs is operated from Türkiye. These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the site are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law rules.

The courts of Türkiye shall have jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you agree to submit to that jurisdiction. Nothing here deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence where those provisions cannot be derogated from by agreement.

We make no representation that the content of this site is appropriate or available for use in any particular location. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
